Q. What are the requirements for membership?
A. Membership shall be open to any person
born in ABA and/ or exhibits residence at ABA for a minimum period of FIVE (5) years
or more. Application forms must have three (3) References and must be submitted to
the club by a sponsoring member in good financial standing for processing. Application
for membership shall be by club procedure and with a simple declaration of intent
at a duly constituted meeting of the club
Q. Why should I join Enyimba Social Club?
A. Network: Everyone needs to network, and because Enyimba consists of a cross section of every business. Enyimbas help one another. Prestige: Enyimba members are significant people: People who make decisions and influence lives. Entertainment: Enyimba is fun to belong to. Every meeting is fun. The weddings, parties, inductions, provide entertainment in one’s life.
Q. Does it cost anything to join Enyimba Social Club?
A. Each person must fill out
the application form with a non-refundable fee of $100.00 (application fee is subject
to change without notice).
Q. Is there any membership fee?
A. Yes. Upon acceptance to the club, that member shall
pay a registration fee of $500.00, plus $20 constitution fee. There is also an insurance
fee of $300, for a total of $820.00.(Both the registration and induction fees are
subject to change any time)
Q. What if I was not accepted?
A. If any application is denied or rejected, that applicant may re-apply after six (6) months.
Q. What are the responsibilities of membership?
A. Members are expected to attend monthly club meetings. Members must pay their dues. An attendance record of 85 percent is required to remain an active member.
Q. What are membership obligations?
A. Members may suspend, withdraw, or end their membership obligations by resignation in writing, which shall become effective upon receipt by the club. Such a member shall remain liable for payment of any and all assessment's), loans, cash advances, promissory notes deposited with the club, or other sum levied or which become payable by him/her prior to the acceptance of the resignation.
Q. Must I be involved in activities to be an Enyimba Social Club member?
A. Yes, Enyimba
Social Club was founded on the principle of “Peace & Love”. Every member is expected
to attend a member’s wedding, wake keeping, induction ceremony or any other activities
Enyimba Social club is hosting or invited to.
Q. When do I receive benefits?
A. Upon acceptance to the club, there shall be a probationary period of six months. Probation period meaning the member shall be in good financial standing, abide by the constitution of Enyimba Social Club, and shall not be eligible to and for any financial support of any kind from the club except death benefit, and shall not be subject to any levies during his or her three (3) months probation period. He/she is not expected to contribute in any discussion or deliberation during Enyimba meetings for the first two (2) meetings. The new member shall be obligated to the club’s monthly dues only.
Q. How do I join?
A. Ask your sponsor for an application form, or you can get it online
@ Join Enyimba. You must join by the deadline date in order to be recognized at the
induction ceremony. However, if you do not wish to induct by this time, you can still
induct within a period up to two years after you've received the acceptance letter.
INDUCTION CEREMONY
Q. What is the Induction Ceremony?
A. The Induction Ceremony is
held every two years to honor new inductees (members) and welcome them to Enyimba
Social Club. All members are subject to the club’s induction.
Q. Is there an Induction fee?
A. There is an induction fee of $1,250.00 (which includes uniform for the inductees) this can be paid in (3) installments. The full amount is due before a member can be inducted.
Q. When should I get there and where should I go?
A. Information about the next induction
ceremony will be given to you when you are accepted.
Q. How long is the Ceremony?
A. The length of the ceremony depends on the number of
new inductees, but expect the party to last till dawn.
Q. What if I can't come to the Ceremony?
A. Any member, who fails to be inducted,
shall relinquish his/her membership, unless that member was sick or out of the country.
Q. Can I bring guests?
A. Yes, you are allowed to bring guest to support you during
your induction.
Q. What should I wear?
A. We have a uniform for the inductees, however your guest
should dress to impress, no jeans please.
